Thailand is called the “Land of Smiles” which is true. The Thai people are beautiful gentle people.

Poverty, prostitution and disease lead to many children without a responsible person to care for them. Children are at great risk as child trafficking has reached pandemic proportions. Sometimes parents will sell their children into prostitution, from a very young age. Many parents are living with HIV and/or heavy drug habits.

BAN SUK JAI (barn sook jai) Children’s Home is the name of our project which means “peaceful, happy home”. We take in children that have been abandoned, abused or neglected. The ones that have no hope, we want to show them that there is “Hope” in Jesus. To raise the children as Christian leaders that will make a difference in the community and their country. These kids are Thailand’s future teachers, nurses, doctors and lawyers. The home is equipped to take children from birth and raise them until they are fully educated young adults and ready to leave the nest.

Ban Suk Jai opened its doors, in Chiang Mai (northern Thailand) in March 2006. Ban Suk Jai is under the legal covering of the Haven Foundation here in Thailand.
